Rick Maher to Present at Maryland’s State Conference

Posted Aug 15, 2021 by Rick

Adaptive Human Capital’s President & CEO, Richard (“Rick”) Maher will be presenting again at this year's Raising the Bar Conference on Tuesday, August 17th. The annual conference of Maryland’s State Workforce Association, Raising the Bar is the state’s preeminent learning event for workforce development professionals from throughout the State.

“The Six Traits of Agile Organizations (and the Leaders Who Lead Them)” explores the characteristics of agile organizations and lays out a roadmap for leaders to begin to curate a culture of resilience. It is derived from AHC’s Organizational Resilience Assessment and helps leaders understand how culture impacts on the workforce’s ability to survive and thrive through changing times.

“Let’s face it,” says Maher, “we are living through a terribly disruptive time. I’ll call it an Age of Disruption. People are stressed, anxious and feeling “stuck” waiting for normal to return, but, of course, it won’t. We’re not going back to normal, so we better figure out how to manage change more effectively.”

Designed to help people understand the traits of resilient organizations, the session will also provide participants new insights into their own change tendencies – help them better understand how they tend to respond to disruption and change. Each participant will be offered a FREE COUPON to experience our Individual Resilience Assessment following the session.

“I want to give something back. While my remarks will be focused on leading organizational change – on creating more nimble cultures as a leader – leaders need to be able to lead themselves before they can lead others, so the offer of our resilience assessment will let folks better understand their areas of strength and areas for professional development,” continued Maher.

“I’m always excited to present at Raising the Bar,” said Maher. “I’ve worked with a lot of these people. They are friends and colleagues and it’s always fun to re-engage and work together with these folks!”
