Rick Maher to discuss “Mindsets Over Skills Sets” at Global Talent Summit

We are so pleased to announce that AHC President & CEO, Richard D. (“Rick”) Maher will be presenting at next week’s 2020 Global Talent Summit, which is scheduled for September 8th and 9th online.

The Summit is produced by Diplomatic Courier, in partnership with Minerva, and will delve into complex topics related to the changing nature of work, such as talent competition in a virtual work environment, shifted hiring practices, new workplace norms, and more.

Each session will bring together experienced leaders from academia, the private sector, think-tanks, as well as representatives of a new generation of Minerva student-changemakers. Moderators include Minerva’s faculty and the Summit’s own MC Kelly Ryan Bailey, podcaster at “Let's Talk About Skills, Baby” and the Director of Open Skills at Emsi.

Maher will be speaking at the Mindsets Over Skill Sets: The Shifting Nature of Professional Readiness session on September 9 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm EST.

“I’m really looking forward to this event. The issue of mindset is critically important to all workers today – but particularly so for those seeking to switch careers and pivot to growth sectors in a post-COVID world,” said Maher. “This topic is core to our work with resilience in individuals and organizations and deserves much more attention. I’m thrilled to be working with Diplomatic Courier and Minerva to make that happen.”
